My name is Janne Pfeiffenberger and I'm pursuing my Ph.D. in Biology at Temple University. Although my research organisms have changed throughout my career, my foremost interest is to understand the evolutionary mechanisms of morphological diversity and how this diversity affects fitness and survival. You can read more about my research interest on my "Research" site.
A little bit more about myself:
I am Finnish, born and raised in Germany and I spend most of my summers and winters in Finland. I have been fascinated by nature all my life and early on developed a particular interest in fish and reptiles. As an undergraduate I got more involved in scientific research and soon after I had my career goals set. I enjoy my studies and profession and in my free-time I enjoy the upkeep and breeding of reptiles, and playing some ice hockey whenever possible.
